We are the Thunder Tots!
Come learn and grow through a fun & engaging curriculum with pre-math skills, rhyming, music, matching, opposites, science, health, art, self-esteem, & social skills with an emphasis on pre-reading skills.
Every Tuesday & Thursday from 9:15-10:45am, we meet in Woodstock North's Preschool Lab classroom. We offer a full array of preschool toys, games, & art and craft activities, as well as dramatic play area, and reading nook. We have an adjoining bathroom and outdoor playground. We also have an observation window for student and parent use.
Extended Time- Playgroup
Every semester we have an option to extend the preschool time until 11:50 while the Child Development Class runs a playgroup . This is a time for extra fun, playing games, or doing art activities with child development students. The playgroup runs the last few weeks of each semester.
Purpose of our School
The purpose of our program is to give the high school juniors and seniors in Child Day Care Occupations class a chance to experience a working preschool and to actively participate in its direction. The high school students are responsible for the planning, teaching, and evaluating of preschool sessions. They will study philosophies of early childhood education, methods and techniques of teaching, as well as the types of materials best suited for a preschool classroom. Some students will then use the information gained to make career decisions in the field of childcare, education, or other fields that relate to children.
We invite you to come visit our school and learn more about our philosophy for preparing your child for success.
